It began with a small dream, 45 years ago

Forty-five years ago, I sat down at a small workbench and began making jewellery. I had no grand plan, and no idea where the path would lead me. All I had was a love of jewellery, a love of handwork, and that special feeling of watching something beautiful take shape beneath my fingers.

It was at that very workbench that the story of Vera & Rose Jewellery began. At first I worked alone. I learned, perfected every detail, and slowly developed my own way of working. It was never about making as much jewellery as possible. I wanted to create pieces I could give my time to, and stand behind with all my heart.

A few years later, my sister Rose joined me. What began as my dream became something we have built together ever since.

Two sisters, one studio

Rose and I have spent a large part of our lives in our studio. Year after year we sat at the same workbench, surrounded by tools, materials and jewellery slowly taking its final shape.

Every piece of jewellery has passed through our hands, from the first idea to the final check. We worked patiently and carefully, because we have always believed that beautiful things deserve their time. We paid attention to even the smallest details, and no piece left our studio until we were truly happy with it.

Over the years, our workbench has witnessed countless shared days, conversations, laughter and quiet moments of work. For us, the studio has long been more than a place where jewellery is made. It has become part of our shared story and part of who we are today.

Jewellery that carries special meaning

We have always believed that jewellery can be so much more than a beautiful accessory. It can remind us of a loved one, a special moment or an important time in our lives. It can be a gift from someone who means a great deal to us, or a small reminder of something we carry in our hearts.

That is why we never wanted to create jewellery that is beautiful for only one season. We wanted timeless pieces that you'll gladly come back to, wear for many years and link to your most treasured memories.

Perhaps that is the most beautiful part of our work. The story of each piece of jewellery begins in our studio, but its real life only begins when it comes into your hands.

Looking back on the past 45 years, it's hard to believe how much has grown from that little workbench where it all began.

What started as a simple dream has become a lifetime of shared memories, countless hours spent together and a love for jewellery that has never faded.

Even after all these years, there is still something special about seeing a finished piece for the first time. And knowing that something we've made might become part of someone's most treasured memories makes it all worthwhile.
